Provide more detail for installing zipped files (e.g., microbit hex file) #3602

Feedback from an educator about installing the hex file:

I think it would be good to explain on the Scratch microbit website that the HEX file needs to be extracted from the ZIP file to be dragged onto the microbit. I spent a couple of hours trying to get Scratch to recognize the microbit before I realized that the microbit needed the HEX file instead of the ZIP file.

Currently the site only says to “Download the HEX file” and “Drag it onto the microbit”, which implies that the ZIP file being downloaded is itself the HEX file that has to be placed on the microbit.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Visit https://scratch.mit.edu/microbit
  2. Download either microbit hex file or Scratch Link
  3. Try to do the next step in our instructions - you can't, because you haven't unzipped them!

Proposal

Perhaps the last step could be updated to include the unzip step, e.g.:

"Uncompress the .zip file. Then drag and drop the HEX file onto your micro:bit."

I like @chrisgarrity's proposed update to the text- I think that would help

I updated this because it's a problem with other files too, e.g., Scratch Link
