What I am currently missing is an easy way to get back to the top, where the menu and all stuff is. I think that wouldn't be a big thing, but some nice enhancement, that extends the usability.

Sounds interesting. Would it be for all pages, or just for the community portal (or similar pages)? Where would it go? Could you make a mockup of the button in context so we can think it through?

I'd say for all pages. Should be at a fixed position in the bottom right or left corner of the screen. It could show up only if the page is scrolled down a bit. Basically something like this: http://www.paulund.co.uk/playground/demo/jquery_scroll_to_top/ But if it's gray and has a little opacity, it wouldn't disturb the user, but is a helpful tool for long tutorials, the community portal, user or file lists, etc.

Hmm... I'm not sure. Could you ask in the Community Portal and see how everyone else feels about it? I'm worried the wiki might get too crowded.

I'm no author of the English Wiki yet (only in the German), so maybe you could ask. But as I got a little more into MediaWiki I thought maybe this would be nicer as an extension anyway, maybe even user specific.
