The project is unmaintained due to unexpected death of the sole core developer

EvgeniiFrolov commented 9 years ago

did anybody take the lead?

mbnetworx commented 8 years ago

I got it working on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 with some minor changes. I 'm sorry to read about the death of the core developer. I looked through the code and think it is quite solid so far. I 'd really like to extend and maintain it.

RonnyPfannschmidt commented 8 years ago

you can find a contact in the issue about the death of the core developer, im not sure how to propperly take this over

mbnetworx commented 8 years ago

I 'am looking through the server code at the moment and put in a new repository on my github account.

RonnyPfannschmidt commented 8 years ago

@mbnetworx i think its disgracefull and a insult to throw away the history, the original author can no longer defend against that

mbnetworx commented 8 years ago

That was not my intend. I' m just getting used to github. I did a fork at first but had some problems to understand the process. I spent the weekend looking through the code to understand how it works. I did not want to throw anything away. Sorry when that was the impression.

RonnyPfannschmidt commented 8 years ago

@mbnetworx even if you make a new repository, you can just push the complete history directly without a problem, there is no excuse for not doing that at least

mbnetworx commented 8 years ago

Ok, I will delete my repository and will work on the forked one. I did not want to hurt anybody. Sorry.
