Feature Request: Separate audio & video when editing #445

Open MisterBrash opened 4 years ago

Somehow the audio and video in my cast ended up completely out of sync. If we were able to separate the audio stream from the cast itself, I could fix that without have to record a whole new cast.

+1 @MisterBrash This would also have the added benefit of allowing

I have only managed to reproduce this once. Do you have a reliable way of reproducing this? I don't know what I think about the seperation but the bug is really annoying after crafting / editing a screencast.

Thanks 🙏

It has only happened to me three times. All times after using the "speed up" tool that allows you to speed through a portion of the cast instead of cutting it. I just avoid using that tool on long portions of my casts.

As for separating the audio and "video", it would allow for realignment or voice-overs. Currently there is no way to INSERT a clip. You have to re-record the cast if you have a mistake somewhere in the middle.
