Proposal: + Feed button on Category feed list pages should add the category to the feed

Category feed list pages have a "+ Feed" button.

I just clicked on it to add a feed, expecting it to both subscribe to the feed and also add the category of that category page to it. The button only currently subscribes to the feed.

Automatically adding the category of the category page you were on would make curating categories easier.

Separate but related idea: What of the + Feed button gave you the option to add existing feed subscriptions to the category? Perhaps it would open up a modal with your existing feed list and checkboxes. This is a different take on the bulk category management solution we discussed earlier and tabled.

The second: Right now when you click on the "+ Feed" button on a Category feed list page, you just get the option to add a feed you are not already subscribed to.

What I'm proposing is that you get two options:

1. add a feed you are not already subscribed to
2. choose existing feeds you are already subscribed to that you can add to the category
   • Envisioning a modal of existing feeds with a checkbox interface for this. If a feed is in the category, it has a check next to it. If you want to add a feed to the category with the modal, you check the checkbox. Clicking Save updates the category attributes for your feeds.

your attention is focused on this category now.

so you want to do all kinds of things with the category.

don't focus on the button, it's a vestige, of a day when it was the only way to subscribe, before the checkboxes exist. i just left it there for nostalgic reasons mostly.

but i understand the need you expressed.
