Currently: InoReader, though I was on Feedly until very recently.
Feedly user since demise of Google Reader.
The Old Reader for an inbox style reader and a riverish reader I wrote in Drupal
Feedly feeding Reeder on Mac and iPad, and FeedReader on Linux.
Liferea and InoReader
Inoreader via FeeddlerPro on iOS. Web on desktop.
Feedly for my reading on Win/ChromeB/Android and OldReader for job/contract searching.
Good morning and thanks for all the notes. :boom:
Impressed with how many are using inoreader.
Have to say the contemplated feature only works with browser based readers.

Okay I've implemented the feature. Now I need more of your help!
There's a new setting that allows you to enter the URL of a feed reader. Then the links to the RSS feed viewer will use that URL.
Choose Settings... from the System menu (at the right of the menu bar).
The Reader URL setting is the one you want. Right now it has a string pointing to xmlviewer.scripting.com there. Note how it includes the extra stuff needed to get it to view the URL. That's going to be different for every reader app. Your goal is to replace that string with the one that works for your reader app. And when you figure it out, tell us what worked here, so I can document it.
For example, if you want to connect to Feedly, this string seems to work -- "https://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed%2F" (omit the quotes).
When you enter it, reload the page, and then click on one of the orange feed icons, like this.
If you have any questions, please post here...
I did a quick video demo of the feature.

I put in https://www.inoreader.com/bookmarklet/subscribe/ and when I hit the rss button I subscribe to that feed in inoreader.
Thanks for the link to inoreader.
To be consistent with the intent of the icon, this Reader URL is a better fit --
https://www.inoreader.com/feed/
It displays the feed. Subscribing is one of the options.

Inoreader.
Hey Dave, is there a delay between changing the setting and it actually taking effect? I had to plug in the inoreader url a few times and do a hard refresh or two before the setting seemed to take.
It's not for subscribing, it's for viewing the contents of the feed. That's the URL we need. ;-)

Dave,
For TheOldReader try; http://theoldreader.com/feeds/subscribe?url=
i.e.
http://theoldreader.com/feeds/subscribe?url=http%3A%2F%2Finessential.com%2Fxml%2Frss.xml
It works for me but failed on Daring Fireball (so far)

I just happen to have a collection of these links. I’m shamelessly promoting my own feed as the example. Sorted by how good the user experience is for existing and anonymous users. Notably, most forget to add the feed after you register or sign in if you’re not already signed in.
For feedBase users, I'm interested in creating a connection with two or three readers as a proof of concept of a contemplated feature. So I'd just like to know what reader you use. That's all. 🌸
