For the last week my attention has been elsewhere, but now I'm back focused on FeedLand Install as my top priority again, where it should be. We needed a functioning Drummer, and we're not done yet with the transition, but -- I believe the code is where it needs to be, and I'm confident we'll shake out the remaining bugs without me being fully occupied with it. And then after this is settled down, I'm going skiing. Really need to get away from this for a bit.

Anyway, there's a new way to watch the work -- subscribe to my instant outline in the new Drummer! Fun times. Here's how.

How to subscribe to my outline in Drummer

  1. Copy this URL to the clipboard: https://drummer.land/dave.winer@gmail.com/myPublicOutline.opml
  2. Choose Open URL from the File menu in Drummer.
  3. Paste the URL you copied.
  4. Click OK.

Caveats

  1. You will see notes in this outline for other active development projects.
  2. I don't answer questions about what's in these notes, they are for myself and for people I'm working with. But I don't mind if you watch.

Updates to this project

  1. Documented a new config.json setting, flUseTwitterIdentity -- defaults false. Sometimes you need to use Twitter identity, the feature is still in the software, and this is how you turn it on.

  2. Added urlServerForEmail to the example config.json and documented it.

If there are any other config.json values you feel should be present in the example file, please speak up, ones you've had to add to get your server running.

In my config.json the only value that's not in the example or documented is urlWebsocketServerForClient
