Images in enclosure tags as Feedly does it #11

The NASA Image of the Day feed uses an enclosure tag for its image. Here's the feed: https://www.nasa.gov/rss/dyn/lg_image_of_the_day.rss

Feedly does show the image in one view, while FeedLand currently doesn't. I'm not suggesting how this feature should work, simply pointing out the difference.šŸ˜

For now, here's an image of Feedly showing the default list view of the NASA feed. There are no images shown.

Feedly list

When I click an item in this list, Feedly shows all of the provided feed info, and that includes the image.

feedly story

I know there are other readers besides Feedly, so I'll try some with this feed later today and report back. If any testers use a reader other than Feedly, it would help if you could add the above feed to your reader and see how the image is (or isn't) handled). Thanks!

@kevinctofel -- I use both Reeder and NetNewsWire and neither show the image only the text.

Look at netnewswire. Iā€™m sure they gave this due consideration. Also NYT feeds have enclosures with images.

I use a few readers so had a quick look. NetNewsWire doesn't show images for me on iPad or Desktop. Inoreader on the web gives a choice of views (I hadn't noticed until today). The list view shows no images, the column, tiles and magazine view show thumbnails. The iPad app just gives choice of list, magazine & card. The card and magazine view show images. The app shows the image in the article along with the excerpt.

Inoreader app on iPhone shows image in magazine view

FeedlerPro on my iphone syncs the inoreader feeds but doesn't show images.
