Allow me to rephrase the question I did ask.

Neither the README of this project, the LICENSE, your blog or the reboot XML-RPC website appear to mention that XML-RPC may be encumbered by patents, including the one I linked to. Please could you add a link to any rebuttal or clarification of the situation which may otherwise dissuade people from using the technology?
