problem with bookmark shortcuts on French keyboard #271

On a French keyboard, you have to press the shift key in order to type a number (unless you have a numeric pad). This means that the shortcuts for accessing bookmarks become CMD + shift + 0, CMD + shift + 1, and so on.

The problem is that CMD + shift + 3 and CMD + shift + 4 are assigned to taking screenshots.

This means that it is not possible to go to bookmark #3 and #4 using the keyboard shortcuts.

Notational Velocity is the only application I know where this issue occurs. For example, I can use the "CMD + number" shortcuts in Firefox or Chrome in order to go a particular tab without pressing the shift key.

I use NV 2.0 β5 (8) on OS X 10.7.1 & a 2011 MacBook Air.

I hope this will be corrected in a future release. Let me know if there's any way I can help.

This is a more general problem. For instance, it also occurs in the Finder, where ⌘1..⌘4 normally switch between different views. A NV-specific workaround would be good, but the best would be a general fix (maybe it is a question to ask to Apple)...

You're right! Any recommandation on how we can mention this problem to Apple? Meanwhile, a NV-specific fix has probably more chance to happen.

Well, a workaround for this is to change the keyboard shortcuts assigned to screen capture; if I remember correctly, this can be changed in the System Preferences, in the Keyboard section. This sure is an annoying way to do it, but it should work fine.
