@HEADBOY28 makes a compelling case for bridging Scroll with Axelar, Wormhole, and Jumper, major missing pieces in its interoperability puzzle. While Scroll connects to several networks, excluding these key players limits its user base and developer appeal.

I believe that adding these protocols would unlock connections to numerous L1 and non-EVM blockchains like Solana, Near, and Aptos. This would significantly expand Scroll's reach, attracting more users and developers, boosting liquidity, and fostering a vibrant ecosystem.

Therefore, it's a relevant call to action for the teams to explore this integration, opening the doors for further discussion and collaboration, potentially leading to a more connected and successful Scroll within the diverse blockchain landscape.

I agree that expanding Scroll's reach beyond its current network connections holds immense potential, like:

While security, standardization, and user experience remain key considerations, exploring this integration is crucial. The potential to expand Scroll's user base, attract developers, and build a vibrant ecosystem is significant.

I agree that expanding Scroll's reach beyond its current network connections holds immense potential, like:

  • DeFi and Cross-Chain Swaps: Imagine effortlessly swapping tokens between Scroll's DeFi apps and protocols on Solana-based platforms like Serum or Mango Markets. This eliminates centralized exchanges, enabling secure and efficient cross-chain DeFi transactions with the benefits of Scroll's scalability and low fees.
  • NFT Gaming and Interoperable Assets: Scroll-based NFT games could tap into the vast user bases and unique functionalities of other blockchains like Near or Aptos. Players could seamlessly transfer in-game items or characters, creating a more immersive and interconnected gaming experience, fostering the development of truly interoperable NFT games with wider reach and engagement.

While security, standardization, and user experience remain key considerations, exploring this integration is crucial. The potential to expand Scroll's user base, attract developers, and build a vibrant ecosystem is significant.

This is a great idea .. interoperability is key

DanLiplip commented 6 months ago

I agree on deploying Scroll on interoperability protocols like Axelar, Wormhole, and Jumper. Furthermore it would significantly broaden its reach and streamline accessibility. This move not only expands Scroll's ecosystem but also catalyzes adoption by seamlessly connecting it with various L1 and non-EVM blockchains. With enhanced connectivity, users can expect faster transactions and a wider array of innovative applications.

MickeylaFracasse commented 6 months ago

Good Idea ! Interoperability protocols serve as the backbone for seamless communication and interaction among diverse systems, applications, and technologies. The current deployment of Scroll on platforms like Orbiter, Owlto, Rhino, Layerswap, and Layerzero is undoubtedly a step in the right direction. However, extending its deployment to other interoperability protocols like Axelar, Wormhole, and Jumper would significantly enhance its reach and utility.

By integrating Scroll with these protocols, a wide array of L1 and non-EVM blockchains such as Solana, NEAR, Fuse, Aptos, SEI, Oasis, and more could be interconnected. This expansion would not only facilitate easy accessibility but also accelerate the onboarding process, enabling smoother and faster interactions across various blockchain ecosystems. Such interoperability initiatives are pivotal for fostering innovation and driving the mainstream adoption of decentralized technologies.

Scroll is the future

ujgeeck commented 6 months ago

wen fee reduction and fast withdrawals?

Godwzi commented 6 months ago

It'll be nice if we can use bungee too.

nawfleen commented 6 months ago

the problem with Scroll Mainnet is the Official bridge (https://scroll.io/bridge) is more expensive than other L2 mainnet bridge such as ZkSync

however we have an option to use orbiter.finance and owlto.finance/bridge are much cheaper

Soniya110 commented 6 months ago

Very true...Scroll is the future

nawfleen commented 6 months ago

Very true...Scroll is the future

i hope Scroll reduce bridge fee a bit cheaper. LFG

ronyynit commented 6 months ago

yes this is where scroll team should work on Interoperability Is key

Leozcrypto commented 6 months ago

Would recommend to Scroll official bridge be cheaper.

nawfleen commented 6 months ago

Yup. We trust scroll team

2TheMoom commented 6 months ago

If scroll could put this into consideration, it's going to be massive and W for the ecosystem and it's community

Eathcash commented 6 months ago

Thank you Headboy for bringing attention to this crucial interoperability aspect. Expanding Scroll's deployment to Axelar, Wormhole, and Jumper indeed presents a strategic opportunity to enhance connectivity with a diverse set of L1 and non-EVM blockchains.

The proposed integration aligns with the broader vision of fostering seamless communication and interaction across varied systems. By bridging Scroll to additional interoperability protocols, we not only broaden its accessibility but also facilitate rapid onboarding onto an extensive network of blockchains.

Considering the mentioned networks like Solana, Near, Fuse, Aptos, Sei, Oasis, and more, this expansion is poised to enrich Scroll's ecosystem, ensuring it remains versatile and well-connected within the evolving blockchain landscape.

Looking forward to collaborative discussions and progress on this valuable enhancement.

Best regards, Enigmire

Yungab commented 6 months ago

Interoperability protocols like Scroll are vital for connecting diverse systems and technologies. Scroll's current deployment on platforms like Orbiter and Owlto is commendable, but expanding to Axelar, Wormhole, and Jumper would significantly enhance its reach. With integration into more protocols, Scroll can seamlessly bridge various blockchain networks, enabling faster onboarding and greater accessibility. This strategic expansion would solidify Scroll's position as a versatile and indispensable tool in the realm of interoperability. LFG.

Skallyhandra commented 6 months ago

I would love to see scroll on Solana this would bring the EVM closer to solana eco atho pyth is already working on that but scroll can follow suit

ahmedmandour1 commented 6 months ago

it will be something great to reach Solana from 📜

Bamidele-dot commented 6 months ago

Scroll on wormhole, jumper and axelar would be a great success.

biggie2daG commented 6 months ago

The greater the interoperability, the more accessible it will be for users leading to greater success of the network and more TVL

jwe21 commented 6 months ago

Scroll on wormhole, jumper and axelar would be expand its capability and bandwidth.

zomico commented 6 months ago

This is a proposal. Have there been any concrete indication from scroll team if they are open to these ideas or completely community drive?

TheImmmanuel commented 6 months ago

Is this community driven?

jwe21 commented 6 months ago

it would probably need to be a combination, but just sounded like a good idea for now.

algokoko commented 6 months ago

great work but I'll like scroll to focus also on dapps amd building a sustainable eco and reducing fees
