Payant - Get freelancers paid on time with privacy #109

Project Description

Payant helps contractors, developers and creatives get paid on time. It's a simple web '2.5' Smart Escrow and invoicing solution, with an easy to use dashboard, 'Smart Invoices', legal wrappers, privacy and case resolution for users. We remove the need for trust between contractors and their clients by securing their payments, so they never need to worry ' what if?' We use conditional smart contracts to secure payments, on-chain invoices and decentralized mediation.

Problem / Solution

Many freelancers are paid late or actually never paid after getting the job done. With traditional systems, their options are limited or very expensive (hiring a lawyer).

With Payant we aim at solving this solution by offering a Smart Invoicing system that locks the funds while the job is getting done. The client has peace of mind knowing he can get his cash back if the job is not done. The contractor has also peace of mind knowing the clients has the funds to pay them.

With Secret Network we want to add a layer of privacy to enable grouped payments and private on-chain invoicing, deliverables upload for freelancers and agencies. The second layer to this project is the creation of a private system for agencies and companies to batch pay invoices within one transaction but to keep the privacy regarding who's getting paid what amount.

Detailed product description

The product includes:

Go-to-Market plan

We have a referral and partner strategy that we have started to build out internally.

Value capture for Secret Network ecosystem

We're expecting at least 5,000 active users by the end of the year 2023. 50,000 by end of 2024. This grant would enable all these users to create private invoices on-chain to secure their payment and get paid on time.
