Fina - Secret DeFi Wallet On The Go

Project Description

Fina is a mobile DeFi wallet that allows users to manage, trade, stake and farm your crypto assets all in one place. Our ultimate aim is to encourage Secret Network communities to adopt daily usage of DeFi protocols to enhance the ecosystem.

Problem / Solution

Mobile experience for crypto has always been lagging behind the web experience, despite the fact that mobile banking has been taking over internet banking for years. Currently there are 3 ways how a typical mobile crypto wallet works with DeFi protocols.

  1. Scan QR code on web app with WalletConnect
  2. Open web app on mobile browser and connect to wallet
  3. Use a Web View on mobile wallet to access web app

Either way, you have to navigate away from your mobile wallet and access the dApp’s web app, which is not always designed to provide the best mobile experience. Fina’s vision is to provide the best mobile wallet experience by integrating popular DeFi protocols natively in the application.

Detailed product description

Fina Beta was launched on Terra network for a month. We have integrated Anchor protocol, Mirror protocol, Astroport and Terraswap natively within the mobile app so users can easily manage their Terra assets all in one place. The Beta launch was a huge success and we receive lots of positive feedbacks from our Beta users.

Unfortunately with the recent events happened on Terra, we decided to migrate to Secret Network and replace DeFi dApps on Terra with the equivalents on Secret Network. We will be building the next generation of Fina with the following features:

  1. Send/Receive SCRT, IBC and SNIP-20 tokens
  2. Stake SCRT
  3. Swap tokens with SIENNA
  4. Yield farming by providing LP on SIENNA
  5. Borrow/Lend on SIENNA Show transaction history
  6. Interact with other dApps with an in-app web browser

Go-to-Market plan

Fina will be the first mobile wallet with native dApp integration on Secret Network, making it the best mobile wallet in not just the Secret Network, but the general crypto ecosystem. We believe this can attract the secret communities to try it out. Also, we will be doing marketing collaboration with DeFi protocols that we integrated like SIENNA team, and reaching out to Secret Foundation for marketing support.

Value capture for Secret Network ecosystem

Being able to transact crypto assets privately is the key to mass adoption, this has been achieved by Secret Network already. Imagine doing it on mobile with an easy-to-use UI, we believe it can drive a lot of users from other chains to Secret Network.

Besides experienced crypto users, I believe Fina can make it easier for non-crypto experts to use crypto in daily life as they can now perform private transactions with a better mobile experience, hence we can onboard new crypto users to Secret Network ecosystem.

Development Roadmap

We will require 6 months to fully migrate from Terra to Secret Network with all the features mentioned above developed. This requires efforts from 1 full time developers and 1 part time UI/UX designer. The total grant requested is $60,000

Milestones:

Ideally, we can receive payments in 3 disbursements, one at the beginning of the grant (40%), one after MVP was released (30%) and last payment when all other development work is completed.

Additional Information

The mobile wallet will be developed in React Native and fully open-sourced

Just edited the proposal to replace Borrow/Lending on SIENNA by Show transaction history
