Falcon Wallet
Project Description
The Falcon Wallet team is building an interchain wallet for Cosmos, with a vision of onboarding the next 100mm users onto the blockchain. Our product roadmap will target features that address common pain-points within the ecosystem, with a deeper focus on improving the NFT and fiat onramp experience. Falcon currently offers a desktop-wallet for Chrome, and a mobile wallet will be launched in August for both iOS and Android. Along with developing seamless integration for Secret Network dApps, Falcon will aim to offer a superior wallet experience to Secret users through fiat on-ramp, mobile wallet compatibility, in-app web browser, and an NFT viewer.
Problem / Solution
P1. Lack of a fully compatible wallet for Secret S1. Falcon will develop native integration for secret network and its dApps to improve UX
P2. Lack of in-wallet fiat on/off ramp S2. Falcon is in talks with a fiat on ramp aggregator to integrate the functionality natively within Falcon Wallet
P3. Lack of mobile compatibility with Keplr S3. Falcon’s mobile wallet (scheduled for Aug 2022) will offer compatibility with Secret Network, allowing SCRT users to seamlessly access SCRT dApps via their Falcon mobile wallet
P4. Lack of in-app NFT viewer on Secret S4. Falcon will develop an in-app NFT viewer for secret network that will allow users to view private NFT information within the wallet
Detailed product description
Falcon currently has a Chrome extension wallet, and our wallet will help onboard the next 100mm users onto Cosmos. The onboarding of new users is contingent on factors like accessibility, ease-of-use, and the overall UX. We want to work with a leading Cosmos zone like Secret to offer the most frictionless blockchain experience while enjoying the perks of privacy and anonymity that Secret has to offer. Some of the ways in which we can offer a superior wallet experience to Secret Network users include: compatibility/support for dApps on Secret Network, mobile wallet for Secret, fiat on/off ramp, and a superior NFT wallet experience.
Our existing chrome wallet extension allows users to access Secret Network and its dApps, but with a grant we will be able to hire / devote resources to ensure that there are no compatibility issues with various dApps that are deployed on Secret. Our team will proactively resolve compatibility issues to pick up the work where other wallets are currently lacking. We are already in talks with apps deployed on Secret Network to identify secret-specific functionality to target.
We also aim to launch a mobile app for Falcon Wallet in August 2022, which will natively integrate Secret Network, and allow users to access Secret dApps on mobile. Keplr currently does not support Secret Network on their mobile app, and this has been highlighted as a user pain-point to Falcon team in our outreach conversations with Secret Network users.
We also aim to integrate a fiat on/off ramp natively within our Chrome wallet extension, and in our mobile app. Our team is currently in talks with several fiat on-ramp service providers and fiat on-ramp aggregators to finalize terms so that users are able to purchase crypto directly within their wallet without the need to involve a CEX or a third party platform. This would benefit Secret Network users who will be able to move in and out of fiat in a seamless manner with Falcon.
With the growing popularity of NFTs on Secret Network, Falcon aims to offer the best NFT experience to users. Based on the unique privacy features of NFTs, NFTs on Secret have a compelling case to draw an even bigger NFT community in the future. With communities developing around collections like Anons, Steampunks & Stinky Raccoons, we believe the popularity of Secret NFTs will only grow. For the growing NFT community on Secret, Falcon will aim to develop an in-app NFT viewer so that users are able to view their NFT collections without needing to leave the wallet.
