High-level description of the project:

Path of Survival is a blockchain game that combines the elements of survival games and RPGs with blockchain technology to create an immersive experience for players. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where players have to survive and thrive by leveling up, crafting and exploring Player-versus-Player content. In the game, players can trade resources and items with each other, forming a thriving in-game economy.

Problem/solution:

The gaming industry is plagued by issues of fraud, piracy, and lack of transparency. In addition to that, most games have unsustainable token economies which eventually lead to their user activity downfall. We are building an RPG game that combines traditional and blockchain gaming. It offers a real-time strategy mode with a unique "team-to-earn" mechanic, and it is designed with gaming guilds in mind to maximize community involvement and activity.

The game's native token is $SRV, which can be earned through daily Player vs Player (PvP) battles, leaderboards, and clan activities. Players can use $SRV to purchase and trade NFTs in-game, lower cooldown timers for traveling, increase the chance of successful item upgrades, stake for VIP levels and receive in-game bonuses, summon special troops on the Global map, upgrade clan buildings, upgrade and re-spec character attributes, and increase the chance for a successful forge.

Gold is the in-game token required for all activities, and it can be earned by participating in activities.

The in-game NFTs include items such as weapons and armor, characters, battle pets, and clan lands.

Detailed product/network improvement description:

The game is built on the Secret Network, a privacy-first blockchain that allows for secure and private transactions. By using Secret Network, Path of Survival can ensure that players' data and information are kept secure and private while at the same time we can have provability of the game economy. Over time, we want to push the clan lands mode as an e-sport with skill-based tournaments.

Go-to-market and commercialization plan

Our go-to-market strategy involves launching a public beta of the game and working closely with the gaming community to gather feedback and make improvements.

Our approach is "gameplay first"

We aim to build the player base and scale on it, before TGE. This way we can ensure that the game economy has been tested in a real environment and we will have a solid amount of metrics about the game itself.

Once we get to TGE, our focus will shift towards KOLs in the form of traditional and blockchain gamers, mainly on Youtube, TikTok and Twitch.

As a community driven project, we strongly emphasize on community engagement and activity both in our socials and the game itself. Taking into account the market oversaturation which led to this crash, we do believe that the market will be less speculative for a while, especially as retail investors are no longer driving as much flows and many of the projects which were just "riding the wave" will disappear. This means that the previously successful marketing strategies will have to shift in order to adapt to the stage of the market we are currently at - show, don't tell.

Our current investors (Black Dragon Guild, Versa Games and NearPad) will be actively contributing for the advertisement of our public sale and TGE. We can talk more about this on a call.

Additionally, we plan to offer in-game purchases and other revenue-generating features to sustain the project and create a sustainable business model.

Milestones and budget

Our project is 80% complete from its Private Beta milestone and we have already spent over $600,000 on the product itself. We plan to allocate the grant funding to complete the remaining development milestones and launch the game in a public beta stage. The milestones and budget allocation are as follows:

We hope that our application meets the requirements for the grant program and we look forward to working with the Secret Network ecosystem to build an innovative and immersive gaming experience.

Final words as a founder - I believe that what matters the most in startups is 1) the team and 2) the expertise of the team. I am confident that we have both, as we have created an amalgam of young tech-savy coders who are working with experienced artists from Dota and senior Unity guys from Ubisoft, Imperia Online and so on. The above, combined with our hardships during these times and adaptability during the bear market makes us a worthy pick in my opinion.

Thank you for your time !
