Ability to filter which content can be requested/shown. #812

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Alternate approach to https://github.com/sct/overseerr/issues/704 which would allow filtering to happen in a less advanced manner and allow for running multiple instances of Overseerr without the risk of overlap (i.e. blocking anime requests in one instance but only showing anime in the other).

Describe the solution you'd like An option to only display items in Overseerr matching a filter, in my case I'd be mostly interested in genre filtering.

Describe alternatives you've considered Tried telling users to only request stuff in the right instance of Overseerr but that is a losing battle.

+1 for this feature, I tested Petio today which has implemented this feature in a very elegant and simple way. I have 3 different radarr instances: HD/SD, 4K and Kids content. I can create a filter in Petio to route all movies with genre Animation & Family to the Kids radarr instance which keeps my library clean since I put all kids movies in a separate folder from regular movies. I like Overseerr's UI a lot more though and really don't want to switch from it...

Could you add the ability to disable the search of NSFW content please ?

Vertiwell commented 2 years ago

Perhaps just a tick box to turn on or off each Genre would help.

@WIG78 That would be another feature request, feel free to make one so we can refer to it when there's updates and others can also register their interest in that feature.

If you only have films it is stupid to promote TV. Bump

What are the odds of a feature like this ever being implemented? Would love to be able to filter out certain genres from discovery.
