XFCE Support #218

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

May Switchy have support to XFCE environments?
It's based on GTK, it doesn't differs too much from GNOME , and, given that
Chrome and XFCE are aimed to performance, I think that fits perfectly! Also,
XFCE is runned primaly on netbooks, those who need to be changing from network
to network, all with different proxy configs.
Even Ubuntu already have an official fork with XFCE, Xubuntu, so this says that
really have a large adoption.

Thank you.

I agree. I love Proxy Switchy, but it is driving me crazy that I can't find a
way to use this with xubuntu 10.04.

Yeah, xfce4 is simpler and faster than GNOME and KDE. I'don't know what's the
relationship between windows manager and chrome extensions.

The problem can be seen on the Error log:

"[11:13:21] [error] - Plugin error: Your Linux distribution isn't supported
yet. Currently only Gnome and KDE based distributions are supported."
