I also am working on the director/shockwave format. Perhaps we could work together between our two projects?

or is this dead?

I believe most of the work is currently being done directly in-tree now (commits beginning with DIRECTOR): https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commits/master

The engine implementation can be found here: https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/tree/master/engines/director

i was just going by the dates, the most 'recent' of which is 2 years ago...

I'll have to look at all this later. I'm back from a bit of a hiatus because of computer problems... I'm not even caught-up on what my own project is doing anymore... /:

alright, so i took a look only major concern sadly is the GPL license since it's self-imposing... a bit overly restrictive...

anyways, good luck with all that! having another player would be awesome. (and my efforts may or may not touch implementation, they're currently 100% focused on de/re-compilation or editing) i need to sleep now

also, why does the other repo not allow issues to be filed?

Deledrius commented 7 years ago

Your project doesn't appear to have a license at all, currently. 😢

The ScummVM Project's issue tracker is available at https://bugs.scummvm.org/. It's a very large project with a long history and their needs weren't met by GitHub's tracker when they moved to using it as a host for the code.

Good luck with your efforts!

Yes, it's been driving me batcrap crazy, too... I intend to address it very soon.

ok then Problem is I might not only discuss bugs or even code features. I agree there are features of github that are inadequate, to say the least

thx!
