[x] GeneRangesFilter -> GeneRangeFilter (since it only takes a single range)
[ ] CanonicalFilter -> ???
[x] genes(cols=...) -> genes(columns=...) – Just to be more consistent. Could go the other way and use cols everywhere.
[ ] What are the canonical strand names? +, - I assume?
