Hackathon projects

This issue is to collect ideas that can be tackled during a Hackathon. This could be a both a fully-fletched hackathon event with 10s of participants from the entire community, or a small, informal gathering in Munich of just a few core-team members.

• [x] Syncable templates based on cookietemple (see also #29)
• [x] scverse paper
• [x] Unified documentation through scanpydocs, allow for optional CI build of tutorials (handled as part of the cookiecutter template)
• [ ] Define standardized data-structures for different modalities (e.g. there should be one and only one way to represent TCR data, RNA velocity, ATAC-seq, CITE-seq etc. using anndata and mudata where applicable; see also https://github.com/theislab/scanpy/issues/1387)
• [ ] Mergathon: triage all open PRs and issues. Work on finishing open PRs. Introduce a transparent way of prioritizing issues (milestones, boards, whatever)
• [ ] Improving documentation and tutorials
• [ ] Unify plotting (to some extent), see also https://github.com/theislab/scanpy/issues/1832
• [ ] Community stats, similar to https://nf-co.re/stats
• [ ] Interoperability (possibly in cooperation with Bioconductor)
• [ ] moving existing (reasonably popular) ecosystem packages to the cookiecutter template (and write tests, docs, ...)

Unify plotting (to some extent)

I think any big changes to scanpy API, and rolling out the changes across ecosystem packages would be great topics for hackathons.
