The EDIFACT specification supports the use of less than (<) and greater than (>) qualifiers for reference range values. For example, <0.6.
Refer to the following, taken from the description of the RND segment in 'LSR_04_A_001.doc':
"For reference intervals of the form '<x' (i.e. less than x), data element 6162 would contain no value and data element 6152 value x.
For reference intervals of the form '>y' (i.e. greater than y), data element 6162 would contain value y and data element 6152 would contain no value."
