Well, the patch was simple.
Just pushed 0.8.0 up to pypi with the change - https://pypi.python.org/pypi/amt/0.8.0

I also tested this with an Intel NUC I have access to, and after asking the OS to hibernate the machine (and waiting for about 2 minutes)
