Hey Simon.

Great app. Great layering and abstraction.

We have a LMSxxx laser. Could we point this GUI application at it?

Hei Richard, sorry for my late answer. Thanks, i am happy when you can use the code. But i wrote it years ago specifically for a Sick TiM55x laserscanner. I am not sure how the interface for LMS scanners is. By the way: I found only tilt sensors with the prefix LMS from Sick. Which laserscanner do you have exactly? And do you know the official Sick-Software, which is also quite nice?

Best regards, Simon

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the reply.

We were trying these LMS series of SICK lasers.

We had spoken with some representatives from SICK here in Chicago. They had not mentioned official SICK software. Maybe it’s only for EU members? ;)

Well, i am not 100% sure, but i think it was the SOPAS Engineering Tool. Of curse, this can be used for configuration but also for visualisation. I am not sure what your requirements are, but i wrote the app because we needed a Java-API for the laser. The GUI was only for fun and debugging. According to this specification, the protocol should be the same for TiM55x and LMS1xx. So if the configuration of your sensor is right, then the app should work. Have you tried it? Caution, the app does only support the ASCII Telegram (CoLa A).
