A common pattern at EMF (and probably at the pubs) is that when a user has walked away from a Square transaction, the next time they tap in the transaction completes and the till immediately locks again.
If a transaction completes within a short time of a user tapping in (10 seconds?) and there has been no other input in the mean time, the auto lock should be bypassed and the register should stay unlocked.
