Both - New OECD calculation with new OECD data hub

FR

@JulienSTC @catherinemichaud Please review the UN metadata for this indicator as it contains unclear and conflicting information on the method of computation.

  1. The unit of measure indicated in the UN metadata appears to be the % of water and sanitation-related ODA in the government budget in relation to the total amount of water and sanitation-related ODA. It is not clear to me what this means exactly. Currently, we present Canada's total water and sanitation-related ODA in constant USD for this indicator (for reference, the UK and Germany data hubs do the same as us). Is this a proxy?
  2. In section 4.c, the UN metadata indicates to calculate the total water and sanitation-related ODA disbursements as the sum of:
    • water and sanitation (CRS 140xx) + agricultural water resources (CRS 31140),

whereas in section 4.h, the UN indicates that the data included in the indicator are:

Our current calculation takes the sum of ODA disbursements for:

I suggest using the definition from 4.c as ODAs to flood prevention and hydroelectric power plants do not seem relevant to the indicator. The UK seems to use this approach too. Germany appears to include hydroelectric power plants.

Ok to Proxy, this should be a proxy indicator, unable to find the data to report on it as specified in the Metadata. Ok for your suggestion to use the definition from 4.c. Please update the national metadata and other relevant info on the page as needed to reflect the actual data shown.
