Text messaging integration #5

It seems to me like this would be much more likely to be effective if we texted people in addition to sending them an email, reminding them on the day of voting to vote for their swapped candidate.

If I created a PR adding this via e.g. Twilio, would you be interested in merging it in?

In fact, might be better to do user confirmation with sms instead of email, don't you think? That was an item on my wishlist, personally...

Yeah, that definitely seems less fraud prone.

What kind of scale are you running at? (I.e. how many users?) Twilio is about $0.007 per message, i.e. around seven dollars per thousand users, and I'm not sure what the budget situation is

Thinking through this some more... do you really think phone should be required? It's kind of asking a lot. Conversion rate was already pretty low :(
