First of, great "application"!

Is it possible to change so that the name of the desktop is displayed in the taskbar instead of the number? I'm guessing it should be a small code change if not possible today, as the functionality to get it to display in the task bar should be the main work.

Could you please clarify your request?

Do you mean displaying the name instead of the number in the icon in the taskbar?
If that is what you are asking for I am sorry, but this would be nearly impossible as it would require building an icon for each name and still the name would be unreadable in such a small space.
