Anyone unable to log in to fire.irs.gov? #17

It keeps telling me my information is not correct. I don't remember having to put in a company name last year - is that new?

It appears that way - I also haven't seen that field in the past, and don't appear to be able to log in using what should be the correct company name. Perhaps try the password reset workflow?

Password reset asks for company name too. I guess I'll try calling them, I'm sure that will be fun

UGH, a full two minutes listening to the automated message then navigating the menu and I get a message that they're so swamped they won't even let me stay on hold to wait, I have to call tomorrow.

Update - I looked at the form 4419 that I filed to get the TCC and realized I had registered using LLC in the company name and was trying to log in without it. I got in to the test system, the prod system threw a 500 error so probably good times at the IRS right now

Ok, all good. Successfully logged in to prod this morning. Test files waiting for processing on the test site.
