Bug: Debug text printing out twice on each terminal shell opening after latest update

Bug report Not sure if this is SDK or OMZ shell doing this, but after updating both I am suddenly getting this printing out every time I open a new shell.

This is actually printed 2 times on each opening of a terminal. I haven't touched any configs and simply updated both components to their latest version.

I found the printing of "ZSH completion script loaded..." in:

./.sdkman/bin/sdkman-init.sh

To reproduce Not sure if, all I did was update to the latest version of SDKMAN and OMZ.

System info This is on a Silicon MAC M1.. using both terminal and iTerm2

there should be a single entry similar to

[[ -s "/home/dudette/.sdkman/bin/sdkman-init.sh" ]] && source "/home/dudette/.sdkman/bin/sdkman-init.sh"

in your .zshrc file.

I would first check if there is really only one entry, instead of two.

Another problem could be that the .zshrc is sourced twice. You can test this by putting an echo statement into your .zshrc file and see if it is printed twice.

I don't see any changes which would result in printing the string you've mentioned twice.

Hi @helpermethod,

I added echo statements in my sdkman-init.sh and found it was being called twice.

I'm not sure why though, I did manage to only get it to print 1 time by commenting out the call to my .bash_profile which has the call to sdkman-init.sh, which was setup by SDK during installation.

I've pasted my .zshrc and on the very bottom is the call to .bash_profile

I also checked my ~/.oh-my-zsh/oh-my-zsh.sh file to for any calls to .bash_profile or sdkman-init and found none.

I'm not sure who is calling sdkman-init but with the commented out .bash_profile call sdkman appears to still function correctly.
