Switches to mapbox globe projection and fixes some issues that come out of that transition
Fixes some styling bugs
Fixes some small UI bugs on desktop

WIP: a fix to the minor post-flight hitch when moving to a high-elevation area. There's progress on this, but I'm not going to delay this PR to finish that.
