Unable to save note content on site with protected content #19

I am using Note 1.4.4 Wordpress 4.7.4 memberpress 1.3.6 and the generatepress theme. I have a local dev copy of the site that does not have memberpress activated. Note works fine there. On the copy with memberpress activated and some content protected, I was attempting to add content to the footer widgets (not protected content). I can add a note widget and add the content, however when I save and publish the content is gone. If I set to show the widget title in the note widget itself, the title appears on the website but no content below it.
The only difference in the two dev sites is memberpress/protected content. Unless I am missing something, it seems note is not usable if there is protected content on the site.

Hi @krbennett , I have the same problem. Did you find a way to solve it?

I did not. I gave up on note and did what I needed to do another way.

Thanks, I need an on the fly sidebar editing tool, can you recommend me one?
