Here we estimate effective population sizes using IBDNe. Implicitly, IBDNe fits to a piecewise exponential curve, which can be undesirable for some populations. We analyze humans, and such this tool was suitable. Recent work may be more appropriate to infer effective population sizes in other populations.
The pipeline afterwards, i.e. workflow/roi/, will work with whatever inferred recent effective population sizes, as long as you reformat the file to by like the output of IBDNe.
