Steps I see:

[x] draft proposal, like that referenced in #2: https://github.com/seamustuohy/CSS-CTF/blob/master/Submission_to_IFF.md
[x] determine who at IFF to talk to, since this is much bigger than a single talk (do you already know?)
[x] draft email/ ask
[ ] list of people who have expressed interest in involvement
[x] send to people at IFF
[x] submit through online form
[ ] wait

Agreed. I've identified the folks at IFF to talk to and have had initial conversations. This checklist is the right approach though.

Updates as of 10 November 2018:

Positive response from Sandy via email
Submission moved from "On the Front Lines" to "Hack the Net" theme
Currently discussing format within IFF
we have maybe 20 people so far who have responded positively for making it go
looks like non-official yes?

Update as on 18 November 2018: IFF folks are discussing internally and will be getting back to us in a couple of weeks, but all response is still very positive. I think that it is mainly a question of figuring out how to integrate it in since the format is so different.
