What do we score on? #9

We can, of course, score on speed to complete challenges. But, we also are teaching skills that will make these individuals valuable contributors to the front lines of security for civil society. Can we also score on specific indicators that we find important such as "using an appropriate level of decorum with a targeted actor being supported?" If we do this how do we ensure that we don't penalize individuals who don't speak English fluently?

Score in tracks. Make one track 'Collaborate instead of compete' for reasons of A) Limiting high skilled teams from winning alone, and B) We actually really do need to be better at collaboration. C) Scoring should reflect different approaches to problems, rather than just different technical skills to acquire, and thus the tracks should reflect that. In other words, score each track on the skill it is meant to build, not every challenge on speed.

Speed, is a function of how much you can ignore every day life to do the CTF. That's not necessarily promoting a healthy approach ;)

Adding an OSINT Scoring System for review as we figure out how to score. https://www.tracelabs.org/getinvolved/ctf/
