PR to fix issue #15 I also included your callbackOnceHack fix that solves issue #7. That hack has fixed my homebridge crashes related to the call back issue.

Looks good - sorry for the delay, I'm not good at keeping on top of this.

I'm going to merge this PR in, but then I'm going to squash the commits together to make the git history a little bit cleaner 😄.

Afterwards I'm going to update the npm package
