1 year ago Hey F, unfortunately that is a limitation of the mp3tag source scripts and there is no current work around.
Using the two keyboard shortcuts (Search: ctrl+shift+i, Organize: alt+a 1) per book does make the process a bit more manageable.
If you have access to a Linux os, there are two other options, the beets.io audiobook plug in, and readarr, but neither are perfect it all depends on your source files. I generally found that beets is faster than mp3tag but it's cli based and not the best for any books that aren't on audible or that need a lot of editing before searching.
If your files have correct ALBUM and ARTIST tags and you don't care so much about tagging the actual files with all the metadata and are just trying to get the books in a consistent folder structure to import into an audiobook server then in mp3tag you can use the second keyboard shortcut (alt+a 1) that triggers the action script ( 1 rename relocate ) in bulk on all your files at once. This is typically good enough for Audiobookshelf, Plex, and Booksonic.

When you apply the search on multiple files, it will only find the first one and overwrite all files with the same tags of the first one. Is there a workaround as I have hundreds of files to fix / fetch updated info from audible.com.
