This may be coincidental, because WeatherRouting does not use charts, it uses GSHHS preferably the high res version. Turn of the charts, they do nothing for you, and do the routing.
Ah yes i can get the same failure not on a chart binary. Could it be a polar failure as that is also in the door message. I'm using the standard mumm36 polar, which doesn't look too have a ride range of wind and/or angles. Is there a polar you can recommend i try that is known to be good?
gregw, If you were to use the PIM Plugin Manager built into Opencpn 5.6.0 and 5.6.2 and update the plugin catalog and install weather_routing from there, you could use the polars in the standard setup (3-4 polars in the boat file that cover a wide range of wind) See the manual https://opencpn-manuals.github.io/main/weather_routing/index.html
the plugin now comes configured with a new set of Example files all ready built_in. It it best to use those examples unless you want to start out fresh. The file names are similar but the details are a little different.
I suggest you uninstall weatherrouting completely and start over with the initial configuration.
The route fails with "Polar: Land: Fail" at a boundary of a chart. I'm running on linux ubuntu:
with Open CPN 5.6.1
