Hi Everyone,

I think this library has a lot of potential to be modernized and improved but I don't currently have the bandwidth to handle it on my own. IFf you'd like to join as a collaborator, please respond to this PR and share some of your credentials / open source experience!

The more smart people we can get contributing the better :)
