Client devices cannot see tether broadcasting #1036

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Motorola Droid 2
Which firmware is installed?
2.3.20
What version of wireless tether are you using?
Wifi_tether_v3_1-beta1
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run tether app
2. Enable tether with any combo of settings
3. Tether says it is active but client devices cannot see the SSID broadcasting

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to see AndroidTether show up in available wireless networks 
on client devices just like older versions, but now I get nothing
Please provide any additional information below.

Could you please try beta2 (available in downloads)? Please make to enable the 
device-profile for the DroidX or Droid2 (device-profile is available in 
app-settings).

I will try Beta 2, I have set the device profile to Driod 2, I will let you
know the results of Beta 2

I am running Beta 2 with the same phone hardware and the same symptoms, with 
device parameters set to D2G (CMDA)
