Which device (manufacturer, type)? Motorola

Which firmware is installed? 2.2.2 FR83G

What version of wireless tether are you using? Tried Multiple

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Operates normally
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Please provide any additional information below.
I can start and WiFi Tether works fine, can and do connect from my Win7 Laptop.
I can not see it on my HP Touchpad though, doesn't even show up in the Network
list. However, I also have a Droid 2 Global with it installed as well. Can
connect to both without issue. What is it about the original Droid that
prevents it from being seen in the Network List? Thanks for any information.

Having same issue. I have tried an Open Network, Auto, and forced as WPA to no
avail. Same version Droid (gen 1 - 2.2.2 FR83G). Also running HP webOS 3.0.2
Build 68 on the TouchPad. /cry

The problem is that the Original Droid does not support WiFi Infrastructure
Mode (it's hardware related, if I'm not mistaken), therefore can only transmit
in AdHoc Mode.

The TouchPad currently does not yet support connecting to AdHoc networks, only
Infrastructure (Access Point - AP). This is a software limitation, and will
hopefully be resolved on the TouchPad by HP or WebOSInternals.
