does not assign ip #1090

Which device (manufacturer, type)? Htc evo 4g

Which firmware is installed? CyanogerMod 7.0.3.1 supersonic

What version of wireless tether are you using? 3.1 beta 5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start tether
2. Attempt to connect with another device; tested with samsung epic 4g
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Should connect to 
hotspot. Rather it never assigns the ip address.

Please provide any additional information below.
