Which firmware is installed?

Samsung GT 10.1 - 3.1 - Kernel 2.6.36.3 Build Starburst 8.8
What version of wireless tether are you using?
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Turn of wireless tether on phone
2.Go to wifi setting on tablet and can not find my access point from phone.
3. If it does show up and I do choose my access point, my tablet will just sit
there trying to obtain an IP address.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Please provide any additional information below.
I am able to tether just fine with my TB to my windows 7 laptop. When I try to
tether with my Galaxy tablet, the tablet will just sit there obtaining an IP
address or the access point will not show up in my wifi settings to choose. I
do not have security (encryption) or use a password. Wanted to make this as
simple as possible.
