Which device (manufacturer, type)? Nexus One, AT&T radios

Which firmware is installed?
CyanogenMod 5.0.8-N1
Kernel 2.6.34-cyanogenmod shade@toxygene#1
Firmware 2.1-update1
Build Number EPE54B
Baseband 32.36.00.28H_4.06.00.12_7

What version of wireless tether are you using?
2.0.2 (theory of evolution)

(I have reviewed issue #37 and it does not seem to be related to this issue.)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. This showed up when using the defaults, initially, but since then I've
configured with 'disable wake lock' unchecked. However, to test this behaivior
under automatic sleep I do check disable wait lock.

If it matters, I do have a bunch of apps installed (but not necessarily running
or not with active widgets) such as No Lock, Screen Mode Widget Lite, and the
Swype Beta.
2. Set screen timeout to 15 seconds
3. Start wifi tethering
4. Wait for screen to timeout (or alternatively press sleep button)
5. Observe lack of data throughput
6. Unsleep phone, data flows again. No need to restart tethering

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected tethering to continue while screen is off

Please provide any additional information below.

I have access control enabled, but have tested it while disabled as well.
Currently I use

I am having the exact same issue. I have an HTC Evo, Backed Snacks 1.3 ROM and
Wifi-Tether pre8. About 3-4 min after by screen shuts off I seem to lose
internet on my laptop. The wifi connection seems to still be connected between
the phone and laptop. As soon as I turn on my phone's screen, the internet
connection is restorred.

There is an option in the settings-dialog which allows to enable/disable a
"wake-lock".

@harald.mue: "Disable Wake-Lock" is checked on mine. Screen sleeps and locks.

Same issue on rooted Galaxy SII. As long as the screen stays on the tether
works fine. the moment it shuts off the teather breaks. Once the phone is
turned back on I can re-start the tether. I've used wake log both on and off
and the issue still happens.
