Tether will not start with new phone software 2.3

Which device (manufacturer, type)?Droid 2

Which firmware is installed?2.3

What version of wireless tether are you using?2.0.5-pre12

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open tether
2.press to start tethering
3. program does not start

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Program should start, instead get a message that states unable to start 
wireless tethering.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have tried to uninstall, reinstall, and get the same message.  Was no problem 
before phone installed the new software version 2.3.20.A955.

I have the same issue above.  System update 2.3.20 breaks both wifi tether and 
barnacle wifi.  This is a probably a intentional move by Motorola to lock that 
part of the hardware.
