Use the latest experimental version available here:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list
(currently wifi_tether_v3_0-pre10.apk).

Hmmm. Starts without errors, but I hang when I try to obtain IP address. Could
it have something to do with me connecting from the xoom tablet?

I tried changing the LAN settings and the channel frequency to no avail.

Could you please try to connect with a pc/mac?
And ... there is another option in settings called "routing fix". Please try to
enable that.

Routing fix in the tethering settings? I see no option for that. I've looked at
and in all of them.

Oh, ah. You are on CM7 - no, "routing fix" is for stock roms and is disabled on
CM7.

I thought CM7 is incomplete for the EVO?

So is there no hope then?

And the built-in hotspot-feature (which is integrated in CM in general) is
missing?

Same issue. Can't obtain the IP address. Couldn't even get that far before so
I'm surprised its working now. Might have something to do with reloading
binaries?

Have you tried it with a pc/mac as client?

I just want to say ... I don't own an evo. So, I won't (most likely) be able to
fix that.

Okay. This is strange. It magically started working. The cm7 one that is. I
didn't do anything different though. I just rebooted AGAIN.

Well, I'm having the same problems, but I'm assuming because cm7 on the evo
just isn't supported... yet? I hope. I'm on HTC Evo 4g, cm7 rc2. I finally
found and got the built-in one working, but I was soooo used to this one. Hope
it comes back.
