Status Page (Enhancement)

Just an idea I had that would be a nice feature to implement but by no
means necessary.
A status page similar to router config pages (e.g. 192.168.1.1) would be
handy. For example, it could include the bandwidth used meter and current
speed. Additional options include current network (3G/EDGE/GPRS), current
GPS coordinates, battery status, and battery temperature. Useful to see
without the G1 screen having to be on all the time.

Just as a side note, I've had the battery overheat safety trip on my G1
which stops the battery from charging and begins discharging at a rapid
rate. Do NOT run tethering and My Tracks tracking at the same time.

might be done with lighttpd (or an java httpd see:

wan traffic counting with ttraf (from dd-wrt see:
http://svn.dd-wrt.com:8000/dd-wrt/browser/src/router/rc/ttraff.c) and so on..

I have a strong no for the GPS coordinates on the status page idea. You said 
yourself 
My Tracks and tethering overheats the phone, you think running the GPS while 
you have 
tethering open is gonna be any different? Also, GPS eats battery, and tethering 
over 
wifi is sucking enough power as it is.
