Cannot connect addon with Nas DS212+ ver. Version: 6.2.3-25426 Update 3 #201

Description

cannot connect addon with Nas DS212+ ver. Version: 6.2.3-25426 Update 3

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

  1. Nas download manager installed on Nas
  2. installed addon on firefox, give connection details over http / 5000
  3. click on test connection
  4. error appears: name or password is wrong

Obviously username and pwd are correct.

Failure Logs

no logs

Versions

Extension version: Version 0.11.1

Browser version: firefox 91.0.2 (64-Bit)

DSM version: 6.2.3-25426 Update 3

Doesn't work with Chrome as well. Same DSM & extension version

If you're actually seeing an error message stating No such username or incorrect password. (that's the English text, verbatim), the extension has successfully connected to the NAS but the NAS is, of course, rejecting the provided credentials. Have you triple-checked for typos? Have you allowed this account to use Download Station? Are you using two-factor auth? (That last one is unlikely to matter, but it's caused problem before.) This looks very much like a configuration issue, not a bug.

After checking your recommendations did not work either.

I Solved it by giving the user Admin rights
