it's like marginalia, but it has a unique way to index pages, and it also indexes Internet archive URLs. Features of this engine

Great results, has a "semantic search mode" that lets you search in natural language (its pretty cool). How can SearXNG fetch the information from this engine?

sadly it looks like they don't provide a "public" API key, you have to contact them [https://teclis.com/terms.html](contact them) to get API access. Applicable category of this engine

Update (Dec 2022) Teclis results are disabled on the site due to insane amount of bot traffic (99.9% traffic were bots). Teclis index remains available for Kagi search users.

@allendema thanks for having an eye on this .. I'm going to close this feature request.

We can reopen if teclis is available one day.

Seems they need the limiter from SearXNG ;-)

Hello! Teclis appears to be back up and running. Can this issue be reopened?

it uses a unique crawler and has interesting results. the free version is protected by cloudflare turnstile captcha and would be very difficult to implement in searxng. there is a paid api to access the teclis index which would be extremely easy to implement, unfortunately, it's a paid api:
