My thoughts on this are.

• Using logical (e.g. start with "001" to signal step 1, and "002" to signal step 2.) rather than chronological order (do not use dates because they have to constantly be updated and are not very human-readable to me).
• Descriptive names
• Using "-" and "_" to separate words
• No special characters
• "-v2.csv" style to signal new versions and count up numerically (throw old ones in the OLD folder)
