Scale bar not showing #733

In https://seasketch.org/brasil toggling the scale bar on does not, in fact, reveal the scale bar. In https://seasketch.org/california, one cannot toggle the scale bar on.

Take a look at https://seasketch.org/california. The toggle button does not work.

It is on the bottom right now so that it doesn't get obscured by the sidebar.

It's not that. I literally cannot toggle the switch on or off (most of the time). Clicking the button does not switch the toggle "on".

This is a weird one. Are you having the same problem in all projects? I'm not seeing anything like this so far.
